As the first heavy and prolonged tropical storm hits for the year to break up the heat weave in South East QLD, an afternoon ride without wet weather gear results in a soaking (even just walking to the bike through the city, let alone riding).

For those curious, the boots in question are 5,11 Tactical’s and are fully waterproof so long as moisture doesn’t get in through the top via tucked in leg wear and/or just naturally down a soaked leg into the boot.
