I deal with some bathtub caulking tips and how to get ready the area.
If you require to caulk a tub or shower, it is much easier to use a caulk with additional silicone. Most are labeled tub and tile caulk. If you use a pure 100% silicone, it is a great deal tougher to management.
To remove the aged caulking, a two sided removing device is the most efficient. Use a plastic scraper to get most of the aged caulk off and if needed, end with a one sided razor, holding the edge at a quite smaller angle.
If you have any mold or mildew, remove it before applying the new caulk or it will bleed by. Use bleach at one part bleach to 10 elements h2o. Put on rubber gloves and do not combine with any other chemical. Rinse thoroughly.
Cut a smaller hole in the idea of the caulking tube. To apply the new tub and tile caulk, squeeze a smaller bead and smooth with your finger or a smoothing device. If you apply also a great deal, just remove the extra with your finger or a paper towel and continue to keep working it although it is moist until it seems superior.
