Their are a lot of people who think that derma planing is just for skin types 1-3, this is due to the majority of derma planing videos showing only skin types 1-3. But no matter the skin type we all need a derma planing treatment, this is a far superior exfoliation of the dead skin cells than a scrub. You need to be very carful while performing this type of treatment on your clients skin, in this video I used no gloves due to my client having a sensitivity to latex so please no negative comments about this, I’m a master Esthetician with several years of training and practice, and yes their are many ways to do this treatment, I’am just showing you how I prefer to do it. In closing most derma planing classes do not teach you how to dermaplan on the clients nose, but in my class I teach how to lightly glide across the nose. keep in mind their are no perfect estheticians in the world, we are all going to make a few mistakes, no matter how many youtube videos you have watched all of those so called experts have made several mistakes, but if you are afraid to make a few mistakes, then you are in the wrong profession. RDX is more storage stable than ETN, but won’t detonate from any reasonable load of SA alone, hence the LA.
I usually do this with more gear, such as a wooden shield and heavy gloves. A face shield and ear protection were in use. I’ve also made some different tooling since this video was recorded that allows me to keep my hands off the cap until it is loaded and crimped. Safety is critical.
