In this series of videos I will walk you through how to make your own warm rabbit skin lined buckskin mittens AKA “Choppers”. Actually, you can use whatever materials you have for both the liner and the shell. The liner can be felted, real or synthetic fur.
The shell can be buckskin, leather, or whatever synthetic material you choose. I will show you how to make a pattern from scratch, and cut out and hand-stitch the materials together. As well as attaching “mitten-keeper” using bone rings so you don’t loose your valuable piece of winter-wear.
