SDN cables are short for Small Diameter Neoprene. These cables are constructed of stranded bare copper, a polymer nylon insulation, and a polychoroprene jacket. These cables are 600 Volt rated at 90°C., tray rated, and printed as pendant and reel cable. SDN cables utilize a compact construction to provide a small diameter cable for flexing and reeling. It is primarily used in crane and hoist applications as well as control, power, and lighting. The polychloroprene jacket allows this cable to be used indoors, outdoors, and directly buried. it can also withstand temperatures as low as -40° C.
